Aloha!

My name is Laura Ohta and I am the owner of Glow Studio in Honolulu. Like so many others in the Clean Beauty field, my obsession with skincare and green beauty started at a young age.

Since I can remember, I was always stricken with eczema, dermatitis, and physical ailments that no doctor could seem to diagnose. Luckily, at age 14, when all my friends were going crazy about the new mall store chain that sold all these smelly soaps and lotions, I turned the bottle around and read the ingredients and the rest is history.

When I was a teenager, there was no way to search the internet for these ingredients but I intuitively knew that "fragrance" was definitely causing me problems and to stay away from it and every product that included it.

After curing my exzema and reading every book I could get my hands on about DIY skin care products and ingredients, I knew that someday I would try and help others with my knoweledge.

Fast forward 30+ years, 17 of them spent servicing clients as Honolulu's first Holistic Esthetician and I am thrilled that I've finally manifested a place to teach others. Glow Studio is my passion. It is the future of skincare. It is a place to come for treatments with total piece of mind that everything that touches your skin is pure plant power.

I am thrilled to be part of an amazing sea change that is clean beauty. I am honored to share all that I have learned with you.
